Month In Review: September 2017

Hey friends! Wow, it’s crazy to think that another month just flew by. But, we’re THAT much closer to Halloween which everybody knows is the greatest day of the year 😉 I’m very excited that it’s October, as it’s my favorite month! Anyways, keep reading my month in review to find out what I’ve been up to this last month! Enjoy 🙂

Month In Review: September 2017

Where I’ve Traveled

Nowhere! I knew that September would be a slow travel month for me, I have some money to save lol. I did find out that I’m traveling to Orlando in June! So I’m going to include that here just so I have something to put here, you feel me? My fiance has to visit Orlando for work so I’m tagging along and going to Universal Studios! I also really want to go to Disney World but it seems impossible to visit there in only a day so that’ll have to be a future trip. I’m excited to start planning my visit and can’t wait to share it on the blog!

We’re also still trying to decide on a honeymoon destination so once we do, I’ll update you with that as well! Right now we both want a destination where we will be forced to do nothing but sit on a beach. I tend to like to go on adventures but after trekking around Europe without resting for two weeks, doing nothing sounds fantastic. Our honeymoon will be at the beginning of November next year and we’re considering Bora Bora, Fiji, and Tahiti. What would you recommend?

What I’ve Read

My Harry Potter reread continues! I finished Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, which is actually my least favorite Harry Potter book. I mean, it’s fricken amazing of course, but I don’t like as much as the other ones. It’s still a five out of five stars of course. I actually haven’t put too much thought into which book/movie in the series is my favorite. I do love them all. But, I guess if I had to pick… The Sorcerers Stone would be my favorite movie of the series. This is an unpopular opinion amongst Potterheads but I say this because it’s the most magical to me and it feels like I’m seeing it for the first time everytime I watch it. And The Prisoner of Azkaban would be my favorite book. Speaking of…

I’m currently in the middle of rereading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and ugh, I just love it. Harry is just a sassy little bitch in this book and it’s fantastic. Also, I LOVE Lupin and Sirius. I might be finished by the time this is posted so if it is, that means that I’ve continued onto The Goblet of Fire which you’ll read about in next months review!

September has been a slower month for me. But, I've still got some stuff to talk about! Click here to read my month in review.

Life Musings

One year ago (on Halloween), Chris and I got engaged! And this time next year (on October 27th), we’ll be married! So, when I say that October is my favorite month, I mean it lol. For me, everything amazing seems to happen in October. It’s just been like that my whole life. I also have a feeling that our first baby will be born in October (this is not a pregnancy announcement, you’ll have to wait a few years for that lol) because that’s an amazing thing and October is amazing! How many times have I said amazing?

We didn’t do any wedding related stuff this last month. However, it should pick back up this month as we need to start searching for a caterer. We actually don’t have a lot of options for catering in our area (that’s South Dakota for ya) so I’m trying to keep my expectations low. I do think I want to have buffet style catering but with staff that’ll clean up the plates and stuff. Hopefully that’s not too hard to find!
