Hey friends! I can’t believe it’s already time for another ‘month in review’ post, October just flew by! Although I’m quite sad that my favorite month is over, I’m really looking forward to the holiday season and spending some more time with family and friends. Anyways, let’s see how my month went, shall we?
Month In Review: October 2017
Where I’ve Traveled
I’m keeping up the trend from last month: nowhere. Well, that’s not entirely true, my fiance and I did visit the Minneapolis/St Paul, Minnesota area (about four hours away from where I live) to go to a Vikings football game but it’s definitely not the glamorous international travel that you guys seem to like to read about lol. But that’s just the life of someone who has a full-time job. I have no expected travel plans until next summer so this section will definitely be lacking in content.
What I’ve Read
If you’ve been following along for the last couple monthly updates, I’ve been rereading the entire Harry Potter series (again). Normally I reread the entire series every year, but I haven’t actually done a full re-read since 2015 so this has been a lot of fun. Earlier this month I’ve finished The Goblet of Fire, The Order of the Phoenix and The Half-Blood Prince. Of course, I give all three of them a 5 out of 5 stars. And I’m currently in the middle of The Deathly Hallows. I keep wanting to pick up other books but I’m the type of person who can only read one book at a time so I’m prioritizing the Harry Potter series before I start anything else.
I did receive an ARC of Storm Raven by K Hanson to review before it’s release date in December so you’ll have that review to look forward to! I read his debut novel earlier this year and quite enjoyed it (I did at one point have a review of it on this blog but I’m unable to locate it now to link it ugh) so I’m excited to get into this one. Two words – female pirates. That sounds like a whole lot of yes from me!
My fiance and I officially have less than a year before we get married!!! Where did the time go?! We got engaged last Halloween (in 2016) and our wedding date is set for October 27, 2018. Warning, I’m going to get slightly mushy and cheesy here, but I’m so excited to marry Christopher. He’s truly my best friend and partner in everything – even this blog! He’s been doing most of the social media work for it so I have more time to write, write, write. Not once has he doubted my ability to do anything and has always encouraged me in my endeavors, while also keeping my feet on the ground. He’s the most selfless person that I’ve ever met and goes out of his way to help anybody. Ugh, I just love him so much and I want it to be October 27, 2018 already. Okay, cheesy post over with.
