Aristotle is an angry teen with a brother in prison. Dante is a know-it-all who has an unusual way of looking at the world. When the two meet at the swimming pool, they seem to have nothing in common. But as the loners start spending time together, they discover that they share a special friendship—the kind that changes lives and lasts a lifetime. And it is through this friendship that Ari and Dante will learn the most important truths about themselves and the kind of people they want to be.
This might be my favorite book I’ve read so far this year. I know I say that about every other book but this one.. I just, ugh, I don’t even know. I’m speechless.
If you remember my readathon wrap up, I talked about how I could just not put it down. And I couldn’t. I read it on my road trip to Denver (which I can’t seem to stop talking about because it was so fun) and my boyfriend had to drive the majority of the way (ouch) because I just had to know what happened next. This book was just beautiful. Flawless. Lyrical. Not what I was expecting at all. I definitely want to read more books by this author, because this one set some high expectations.
