How To Spend 2 Weeks In Europe

How To Spend 2 Weeks In Europe

Hey friends! I’m very excited to say that our flight to London has been booked! We’ve also purchased all of our train tickets and reserved all of the Airbnb‘s. This will be my first of many trips to Europe so I’m very excited! So you’re curious as to how we’ll be spending 2 weeks in Europe, well keep on reading!

How To Spend 2 Weeks In Europe

London, England – 4 1/2 Days

We are starting our trip in London! While I’m excited for all of these places, I’m most looking forward to visiting London. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been OBSESSED with the British culture and London has always been numero uno on my bucket list. I can’t believe it’s finally coming true! I’ve already written a more extensive post about what we’re planning on doing whilst in London so make sure you read that for even more details!

Airbnb – 25.50 USD | 19.59 Pounds | per night for each guest. What a steal! We’ll be staying in Canning Town in East London, about twenty minutes away from London’s main attractions.

Les Miserables at Queens Theatre -63.95 USD | 49.13 Pounds per guest. I’m probably going to shock a lot of you, I don’t know anything about Les Miz! I’ve never seen a production nor have I read the book yet. I’m still quite excited to see this play because I’ve heard nothing but good things.

Harry Potter Studio Tour – 63.81 USD | 49.02 Pounds. This is the number one thing I’ve been looking forward to doing while in London. My life pretty much revolves around Harry Potter (yes, I’m a nerd) so this is quite the dream come true. I would do this no matter the cost, to be honest.

London Eye – 32.52 USD | 24.98 Pounds. I know this is really touristy but I just gotta do it. It’s iconic and shouldn’t be missed.

The first stop on our Europe trip is in London!

Paris, France – 3 1/2 Days

After spending an amazing four days in London, we’ll move onto Paris! We’ll be arriving late evening and the first thing that we’ll be doing is grabbing some croissants lol. I’m currently working on my three-day guide to Paris which will hopefully be up soon! I’ll have it linked as soon as it is.

Airbnb #1 – 44.5 USD | 39.71 Euros per night for each guest. It’s located in Beaugrenelle, about 10 minutes away from the Eiffel Tower! This great location will make it easy to walk around and see all the sights.

Airbnb #2 – 27 USD | 24.09 Euros per night for each guest. This one is located near the 18th arrondissement and has a rooftop terrace overlooking Paris!!

Here's how you should spend two weeks in Europe!Click To Tweet

The Eiffel Tower & The Arc de Triomphe – 8.97 USD | 8 Euros. To get the best view of the Eiffel Tower, you have to climb up 40 steps in the Arc de Triomphe. It’s recommended to visit just when the sun is starting to set to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle.

The Louvre – 16.81 USD | 15 Euros. You HAVE to visit the Louvre whilst in Paris, it’s iconic and an art lover’s paradise. Plus, it’ll be so cool to finally see the Mona Lisa in person!

Disneyland Paris – 146.17 /2 tickets USD | 130.42 / 2 tickets Euros. One of the items on mine and my fiance’s bucket list is to visit every Disney park on Earth, so we’re checking off another one while we’re here!

Paris is our second stop in our two-week trip in Europe.

Brussels, Belgium – 2 Days

Our third stop in Europe will be Brussels. We were previously planning on visiting Zurich, Switzerland and sadly we’re not able to due to time restraints :(. That actually broke my heart because Switzerland is number two on my list of places I need to visit before I die. We’ll make that a priority to visit the next time we’ll be in Europe (2020?). So instead, we’re going to visit Brussels! I’m still quite excited even though I have NO IDEA what there is to do there?! Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Airbnb – 28 USD | 24.98 Euros | per guest for one night. This is located in a quiet area near Cinquantenaire, which will be nice for some peace and quiet at the end of a long day.

Related:   24 Hours in Brussels, Belgium.

The Atomium – 12.33 USD | 11 Euros. This is a molecule-shaped stainless steel structure that houses multiple exhibition spaces dedicated to different aspects of Belgian culture, from science to the arts. The top most part also provides excellent views of the city.

Beer and Chocolate Tour –  84.06 USD | 75 Euros. I’m going to be honest with you, I hate beer. I think I’d be a lot cooler if I liked beer lol. BUT, I’ve heard again and again that the beer in Brussels is to not be missed. And I’m a chocoholic. Sooo we’ll be doing the ‘The Brussels Journey’s Beer and Chocolate Tour’. Apparently, it’s a must do so we’ll be doing it!

Brussels is our third stop in our trek across western Europe.

Amsterdam – 3 Days

Our fourth and final stop in Europe will be in Amsterdam! I’m really excited about visiting here (and sad that our trip is nearing an end). There are so many things that I want to do whilst in Amsterdam so stay tuned for that itinerary coming soon! A few things are listed below 😉

Airbnb – 30.83 USD | 27.51 Euros. We haven’t booked our Airbnb for Amsterdam yet but the one’s we’ve been looking at are near the city center.

Red Light District – I know I’m probably a horrible person for wanting to see the Red Light District in its full glory (see but not participate) at night lol but I’m going to do it.

Van Gogh Museum – 19.05 USD | 17 Euros. As an art lover, the Van Gogh Museum is NOT to be missed while in Amsterdam.

Anne Frank House – 10.09 USD | 9 Euros. This is also a must do while in Amsterdam, in my opinion.

Amsterdam is the fourth and final stop in our trip to Europe.

I hope you enjoyed this European Itinerary! What are some recommendations that you’d add to this? They’d be useful for writing my individual posts on each city 😉

Have a wonderful time! These are all great cities to visit – if you like watching musicals I’d recommend BOok of Mormon in London in addition to Les Mis if you haven’t watched it yet. It’s hilarious!

    • May 24, 2017 / 11:30 am

Hey Flo! I’ve never actually seen any live productions of anything before so I’ll probably check it out lol 🙂

Sounds like a fantastic itinerary. Whilst in London, do take a look at ‘Up at the O2’ – an opportunity to scale the O2 arena (originally the Millennium Dome). The views can be beaten by other sites but as an experience it’s a bit of fun. I hope that one day you can see more of England – London isn’t my favourite part of my home country! The Atomium sounds great and the whole itinerary appeals to me. I’m going to bookmark this and hope I can follow in your footsteps at some point!

    • May 24, 2017 / 11:51 am

Hey Sarah! I looked up ‘Up at the O2’ and that is so cool!! We’ll definitely look into adding it to our itinerary if we have some wiggle room, it seems right up my alley! Thank you for the suggestion!! And as for visiting the rest of England, I want to sooo bad!!! I’m sure London won’t be my favorite part either once I experience the rest of it lol. I hope to get back out there within the next few years and spend some time exploring England 🙂 Thanks for reading!

I love that you’ve included Disney Paris! I think it gets a bad rap sometimes and as a former Cast Member, it’s on my list to visit! Have so much fun!!

Hey! Thanks for reading 🙂 I hope you can get out there too!

  7. May 24, 2017 / 11:29 am

I just went to London and did the Harry Potter studio tour. I LOVED it! For Brussels, I would walk around Grand Plas, see Mannekin Pis and eat lots of chocolate and waffles. If you can, pop over to Bruges for a 1/2 day. I loved it there!

    • May 24, 2017 / 11:55 am

Hey Erin! That’s good to hear about the Studio Tour!!! I have high expectations so I’m glad they won’t be disappointed 🙂 And thanks for the suggestions for Brussels – I’m currently working on my Brussel’s itinerary so will add your tips 🙂

This sounds like a great trip! I am a huge fan of airBnB I just booked for my trip to Miami! 🙂

    • May 24, 2017 / 2:52 pm

Hey Caitlin! Have fun!!! I’ve never been so I can’t wait to read about it 🙂

  9. May 24, 2017 / 2:27 pm

This is the perfect little trip around Europe and I have pinned this as I would certainly like to follow this. Air bnb is a great option for Europe especially if you are travelling as a group. Thank you for writing the price too, gives a good idea for budgets for sure. Great post and photos.

  10. We were just in Paris last month! It started sparkling at 9pm (I believe) and sparkles for 5 minutes on the hour every hour after. It’s absolutely worth it!

    • May 24, 2017 / 5:17 pm

Oooooh, I really hope I’m able to witness it!!!!
